In the magnificent palace of Hastinapur, Queen Shridevi experienced fourteen auspicious dreams that foretold the birth of a future Tirthankara. At the age of 25, Prince Kunthu witnessed the four sights that awakened his spiritual consciousness: old age, disease, death, and a wandering ascetic. Realizing the impermanent nature of worldly pleasures, he made the momentous decision to renounce his kingdom and seek eternal truth.

β¨ Attaining Kevala Gyan
After 14 years of intense spiritual practices, meditation, fasting, and self-purification, Kunthu achieved the highest state of consciousness. Under a Tilaka tree, as the first rays of dawn touched the earth, all karmic bondages were destroyed, and he attained Kevala Gyan – infinite knowledge, infinite perception, infinite happiness, and infinite energy.
